Rapid Identity 2FA Self-Service Unlock Account (PD Only)
Important Information
NOTE - 2FA is not the same as MFA, this application and tutorial are intended for employees in Police Services only.
This article describes how to unlock your account using Rapid Identity Client, the two-factor authentication (2FA) application used for computers that access Criminal Justice Information (CJI/CJIS). This method will work if the user is getting a "password blocked" or "Card Not Registered" message when using the RFID (i.e., the token/fob), but is still able to log into the computer using the One Time Password (OTP) or Emergency Access. options.
Step One
From the desktop, launch RapidIdentity Client.

Step Two
When the window opens, click Authentication Methods.

Step Three
Click Manage Proximity (RFID).

Step Four
Click Unblock Password.

Step Five
If prompted to authenticate use the User Name and Password method.

Step Six (final step)
Close the window.
